Is it worth grading your Pokémon card?
The math is easy. Knowing what a PSA 9 and a PSA 10 of that exact card actually sold for is not, and that's the whole game. So we did it for you: real cards, real eBay-sold prices, the verdict worked out, net of fees, with the PSA 9 downside subtracted.
Every price below is a real eBay-sold median, raw, PSA 9 and PSA 10, with the grade verdict already worked out.

Search 80,000+ cards, every one with the real raw / PSA 9 / PSA 10 sold and the grade verdict.
How the grading math works
Raw price (what a gradeable copy actually sold for) plus ~€30 grading and shipping. That's your real outlay.
What you'd net if it comes back a 9. If that's negative, a 9 loses money, so the card is only a bet on the 10.
SAFE TO GRADE if a 9 already pays, ONLY IF IT GEMS if just the 10 does, SELL RAW if even a 10 can't cover the cost.
Is it worth grading Pokémon cards? FAQ
Is it worth grading my Pokémon card?
It depends on the exact card. Take the real raw eBay-sold price, subtract grading + shipping (about €30), then check whether it's still profitable if it comes back a PSA 9, not just a PSA 10. If the only profit is in the 10, it's RISKY. If a PSA 9 already pays, it's SAFE TO GRADE.
Why PSA 9 instead of PSA 10?
Everyone chases the PSA 10. People lose money on the PSA 9. A big PSA 10 multiple means nothing if a 9 is a loss after fees, so the calculator subtracts the PSA 9 downside first. Don't chase PSA 10, protect yourself from PSA 9.
Is PSA grading worth it?
Only when the math works on that specific card. A €6 card that needs a PSA 10 to break even is a gamble; a card where even a PSA 9 profits is a safe submission. This calculator gives you that verdict in one number.
What grading cost should I use?
Roughly €30 all-in (PSA value-tier fee plus shipping/insurance via an EU middleman) is a sensible default, but you can change it. If PSA changes its tiers, update the field and the verdict recalculates.
Where do I get the PSA 9 / PSA 10 sold prices?
Real eBay-sold listings, never asking prices. CardBeast fills them automatically for any card, split by grading company, condition and language, and ranks every underpriced card by the net profit you keep in the Hunt.
